DESCRIPTION:About this event\nFrom 2027\, Australia’s association with Pillar II of Horizon Europe would give Australian organisations a new way into Europe’s 95 billion euro research and innovation programme. This webinar looks at what that means in practice\, where the opportunities are likely to sit\, and how organisations here can participate. \nJason Collins\, CEO of the European Australian Business Council\, opens with the strategic context — why Australia is associating\, what it signals about the research relationship with Europe\, and what changes from 2027. \nDr Jacqueline Clements\, CEO of Dutchlink\, then gets practical about Pillar II: where the relevant funding calls appear\, how the programme is structured\, how consortia come together\, and what taking part is likely to involve. \nThe session runs for an hour. It is pitched at SMEs and larger companies\, research and education organisations\, government\, industry bodies\, and anyone else with an interest in research and innovation between Australia and Europe. \nA chambers-wide effort\nThe webinar is run by Dutchlink and promoted jointly across Dutch Chambers of Commerce Australia (DCCA)\, with the European Australian Business Council alongside it. It is open to everyone\, not only members\, and the aim is a genuinely national audience rather than five separate state ones. \nRegistration is free and the joining link goes out by email the day before.

As good Dutch practice dictates\, what better way is there to get to know each other over a ‘borrel’? \nEvery first Thursday of the month\, members and any interested parties gather for an evening of networking. To discover how they can help each other find and develop new opportunities\, all the while building connections between Queensland and the Netherlands. \nWe organise this event in collaboration with the Australia-Brazil Chamber of Commerce\, Australian Maltese Chamber of Commerce\, Norwegian Australian Chamber of Commerce\, and the Swedish Australian Chamber of Commerce.
