Bitterballen masterclass brings seven Dutch organisations together

A sell-out Saturday afternoon at the Dutch Club Brisbane, learning the fine art of the world's best beer snack from Bart Lommerse.

Did you know that the Dutch ‘bitterbal’ is the world’s best beer snack? On Saturday 16 November, seven Dutch organisations from across Queensland came together for a masterclass to learn the fine art of making these delicate balls of goodness. And what an afternoon it was.

This sell-out event showed the demand from the Dutch-Queensland community to engage in this type of activity, and we can’t wait to do it again next year.

A special thank you to Bart Lommerse for teaching us these great skills — this event would not have been possible without you. Thank you also to the venue host, Dutch Club Brisbane NAQ, for the generous use of their facilities, and to Value Added Meats Pty Ltd for sponsoring the event with their Australian-sourced meat. A final thank you goes out to all who braved the rather Dutch weather to join us for a delightful afternoon.
