On Thursday 19th May at the Queensland Art Gallery, Ms Marjon Wind was formally inducted as the Honorary Consul for Queensland. It was also an opportunity to honour former Honorary Consul Rear Admiral Karel de Laat and thank him for his distinguished service.
Guest speakers included Dame Quentin Bryce and the Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen the Hon. Mick de Brenni. The Ambassador H.E. Mrs Marion Derckx officiated. Other distinguished guests included the Shadow Minister for Multiculturalism and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Mr John-Paul Langbroek, MP and the Director of Queenland Art Gallery Mr Chris Saines.
